THE 3 ADVANTAGES OF VBOX RACELOGIC

LORRTEC: A unique consulting service in France!

Within the framework of our activity as engine manufacturer: Lorrtec Engines we install and help many customers to operate RACELOGIC boxes on track. Therefore, we provide our clients with the advice they need.

Racelogic is the manufacturer of the VBOX data acquisition boxes.

Racelogic VBOXes have many technological advantages over other systems. They allow you to quickly improve your lap times on the track thanks to the use of the VBOX system for motorsports on asphalt tracks or even on dirt.

The 3 advantages of the Racelogic VBOX:

Advantage n°1 of the VBOX of Racelogic: the system of prediction of the lap times with display in real time.

One of the most remarkable features of the Vbox is the ability to know the gap to your best lap constantly and in real time by viewing the OLED screen. This allows you to understand, at the same time as you drive, the impact of changes in your driving (or settings) on the final lap time.

With this operating mode, it is not necessary to have an engineer analyze the data acquisition after each run. The pilot can progress quickly and with a lot of autonomy.

Example: Before entering a curve, the driver visualizes his gap, tries a new trajectory and checks a few seconds later at the exit of the curve if the gap has evolved positively or negatively, which allows him to validate or not his piloting at this precise point of the track. This way you don’t have to wait until the end of the round to know if there is an improvement or not, and you know exactly where the evolutions are taking place. Of course, it is always possible to analyze these differences afterwards thanks to the data recorded during the ride.

Advantage n°2 of the RACELOGIC VBOX: the simplicity of use and the coupling with the camera

The RACELOGIC data acquisition system is very simple to use because it is coupled to the camera: the reading of the graphic data is automatically synchronized with the onboard camera. It is thus possible to compare the different tours and to superimpose the cameras. This system is extremely powerful to compare a multitude of tours, and allows to compare two drivers: you can see when and where one driver is faster than another, which allows you to progress very quickly.

As a general rule, 80% of the difference in lap times between a pro and an amateur driver is made in specific parts of the circuit. Measuring and working on these parts can quickly reduce a large part of the time difference. The last few tenths of a second are still in the hands of the pilot!

Advantage n°3 of the RACELOGIC VBOX : All the big circuits are included in the VBOX

Simply select it from the list of proposed tours. Thanks to the GPS, there is no need to set up the circuit (via a PC for example), which makes it very simple.

The list of routes is constantly updated, and it is always possible to create new routes manually.
