Motec M190 ECU
Latest generation technology
The latest technical advances in terms of motorization require increasingly efficient computers. This demand has reached the point where a single ECU configuration cannot meet all requirements (even with increased processor capacity and speed).
Therefore the M1 series of ECUs has been designed by MoTeC to overcome this limitation by designing a system where efficiency, functionality and flexibility are the main objectives. Thus the M1s offer the possibility of developing a suite of flexible and tailor-made solutions (packages), which makes them ideal for all applications (even complex ones).
Main advantages of the M1 system
- Latest generation high performance processor
- Large memory capacity, fast Ethernet downloads
- Compactness and lightness in robust magnesium housings
- Support for direct and indirect injection applications
- Support for advanced features including Pro Analysis (i2 Pro)
- Advanced security system, incorporating a data protection strategy
- Access to different login levels for multiple users
- Control of motorized throttle valves, camshaft phase shifters and management of several CAN buses
- Advanced, high-speed data acquisition functions with multiple logs (with specific connections)
- I/O expansion using E816 and E888 expanders
- Flexible parameterization software
- Programmable digital input system for Ref/Sync, wheel speeds etc.
- Programmable and diagnostic trip triggers
- All Low Side and Half Bridge outputs have PWM functionality
M1 software packages
Solutions (package) for specific vehicles
- In this case the configuration work is already partially done, and the ECU program is adapted to a specific vehicle or engine. This can include the integration of vehicle control systems beyond the engine such as stability control or cruise control. Complete “plug-in” kits are available for certain applications, with the necessary wiring.
Solutions (package) GP (General Purpose)
- MoTeC’s GP solutions provide the flexibility to fit many direct and indirect injection engines.
– GPA: Pit limit, multi-mapping, knock control, water injection, motorized throttle, camshaft phase shifter.
– GPR: GPA + anti-skid, shift cut, anti lag, starting strategy.
– GPRP: GPR with paddle shift
– GPRDI: GPR with direct injection
– GPRPDI: GPR with paddle shift and direct injection
These variants can be configured to suit a wide range of applications.
Development solutions (packages)
- Dedicated to people with programming know-how, they can now develop completely personalized control strategies, creating unique functionalities for themselves or for their customers. Developers can add custom functions to an existing package or create a new project from scratch. In either case, the resulting software can be loaded into a development ECU or deployed for purchase by customers around the world.
